Community
Below are a few of the many paths to building community at Harvard.
Harvard Gender and Sexuality Caucus
The Harvard Gender and Sexuality Caucus is composed of Harvard gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer alumni/ae, faculty, staff and current students. HGSC builds community and alumni/ae networks, encourages a non-discriminatory and diverse academic, living, and working environment at Harvard, and undertakes education, community service, and many other things.
The Harvard International Office offers services to international students and scholars at Harvard. HIO provides information on topics such as immigration issues (work permits, travel), financial questions, social and cultural differences, and resources at Harvard and in the community.
Harvard Neighbors is a social and networking organization for Harvard faculty, staff, researchers, and their families. Programs include small interest groups, cultural activities, excursions, and other special events. In addition, the Harvard Neighbors office (Loeb House, 17 Quincy Street, Cambridge, MA) is a resource for information regarding University and community events, opportunities, and facilities.
